Rotimatic- Smartest way to make Roti’s (flat bread)

Meet Rotimatic, the robot roti-maker. The brainchild of Pranoti Nagarkar and Rishi Irani, this machine can pop out regulation one fluffy chapatti per minute. Inside it are 10 motors, 15 sensors and 300 parts humming away.

Rotimatic automatically measures, dispenses, mixes the ingredients and kneads one dough ball at a time. With the built-in AI technology, it can mimic human judgement to adjust the proportion of flour & water real time to create a perfect dough ball. Once a dough ball is made, it presses the dough into a flat roti and then roasts each roti until puffed deliciously. The user has to select the thickness of the roti and oil content on a small LCD screen to get it started. Rotimatic weighs about 18 kg.

What makes Rotimatic a smart machine?

Rotimatic is built with IoT smarts, so it learns with every new roti, gets upgraded constantly, and is always operating with the latest firmware. Staying connected to WiFi gives you access to the latest downloads of recipes — masala rotis, puris, tortillas, pizzas — so you make more than just rotis.

Is it easy to use?

You bet. Ease-of-use is at the very core of the Rotimatic design. As long as you keep the Rotimatic ingredient containers filled, you can enjoy rotis at the touch of a button. Cleaning up is also easy with two removable, dishwasher-friendly parts.

Are the rotis as good as the homemade ones?

There’s nothing quite like Mummy ke haath ka khana (mum-made food)! While it’s not our aim to replace Mum, our users say that Rotimatic rotis come really close. Discerning mums and grandmothers nod in approval when they see our rotis puff evenly, every single time.

Every roti is round, evenly cooked, and puffed with 3 separate layers. If you choose only mum-approved ingredients, Rotimatic can definitely retain the taste, nutrition and freshness.
